On March 27th, 2018, together with University of Cambridge & Ignitho Technologies,The Nordic Frugal Innovation Society is unveiling the UK edition of InnoFrugal.

InnoFrugal UK builds on the earlier editions of the highly successful InnoFrugal conference held yearly in Finland and will cover topics such as:

  • Frugal Innovation for Enterprises,
  • How the Circular Economy and Frugal Innovation can complement and enable one another, and
  • Success stories from the early flagbearers of Frugal Innovation in enterprises and the public sector.
  • InnoFrugal UK invites you to hear from and network with professionals and academics like Ebon Upton (Raspberry Pi), Paul Lewis (Financial Times), Jaideep Prabhu (University of Cambridge), Khaled Soufani (University of Cambridge), Roney Soloman (Ignitho Technologies) and Venkata Gandikota (TNFIS). We shall be adding new speakers over the coming days.. so keep us book marked!

“It is a great pleasure to be hosting the 1st Edition of Innofrugal UK at Cambridge Judge Business School. After being a regular speaker and attendee of InnoFrugal Nordics, I am delighted that we are now able to extend the franchise to include the UK and do that in partnership with Ignitho Technologies who are doing so much to stimulate frugal innovation in the UK.” – Jaideep Prabhu, Professor, Judge Business School – University of Cambridge.

“Frugal Innovation is fast establishing itself as a viable innovation strategy in the socio-economic context globally. Adapting these principles to an enterprise context for technology innovation, Ignitho is rapidly establishing itself as a market leader in Frugal Technology Innovation for Enterprises. Towards building further visibility around this exciting new innovation paradigm in the UK, Ignitho is proud to partner with the University of Cambridge and The Nordic Frugal Innovation Society to co-host Innofrugal UK, the UK’s first event on Frugal Innovation, building on successful earlier editions of the event held annually in the Nordics.” – Roney Soloman, Co-founder & Executive Chairman- Ignitho Technologies.

“We at Cambridge Judge Business School and the Circular Economy Centre are delighted to host the inaugural InnoFrugal UK conference, on 27th March in Cambridge alongside partners Ignitho Technologies and The Nordic Frugal Innovation Society. The concept of Circular Economy is certainly highly topical on policy and corporate agendas at the moment and compliments ideas surrounding Frugal Innovation perfectly. We will be discussing the latest findings in our research at the Circular Economy Centre and how we can promote the adoption of Circular Economy principles globally to affect a positive change in business modelling.”- Khaled Soufani Director of the Executive MBA Programme, Director of the Circular Economy Centre (CEC), Cambridge Judge Business School.

As for myself, I would like to say the following:

The Nordic Frugal Innovation Society’s inspiration to start & continue InnoFrugal annual conference in Helsinki since 2015 was primarily because of the following: not enough quality, accessible, affordable, sustainable solutions for B2B & B2C in emerging markets; future need for similar solutions in Europe because of ageing societies, jobless growth, environmental constraints etc; reading Jugaad Innovation and later Frugal innovation books by Jaideep Prabhu and Navi Radjou. So, I am very happy to see that InnoFrugal UK will mark it’s 1st edition at Judge Business School at Cambridge University on March 27, 2018 together with Ignitho Technologies. Looking forward to changing mindsets, adding skillsets and realizing the Sustainable Development Goals via InnoFrugal UK as well!

Welcome to InnoFrugal UK and be part of the change you wish to see!
